July 31, 2010 - Holy summer's almost over Batman! On that note, I am happy to announce that we are one or two sessions away from completing the tracking of the new album!! (*insert annoying party noise-makers here*)

It's been a really great experience working with such talented musicians! The album, "Bye Bye Mr. Bluesman" will include:

Jenny MacDonald - Vocals/Guitar/Keyboards

Greg Melchin - Basses

Brendan Melchin - Drums/Percussion

Rob Crowell (Mellotones) - Piano

Ryan Hupman (The Hupman Brothers)- Guitars

Caleb Miles - Guitars

Ian Sherwood - Saxes

Matt Myer (Gypsophelia) - Trumpet

Ariana Nasr (Thugs at Bay) - Soprano Sax

The album will be officially released in the late fall with a couple of release shows and a multi-province tour. If anyone is interested in hosting a house concert, please email me; I'd love to come visit! In the meantime, check out one of our fundraising events and help get the album made!

Indigo Healing Connections (Antigonish, NS) will be hosting a "Bye Bye Mr. Bluesman" House Concert on Sunday, August 8 at 2PM. You can email indigodebbie@eastlink.ca or call 902 863 6984 to reserve a spot or get directions and details!

On Saturday, September 11, I will be hosting a show titled "The Songs of Joni Mitchell". This show is also a fundraiser for the album and will feature a number of great artists including Kev Corbett, Erika Kulnys, Heather Kelday, Andy & Ariana, Caleb Miles, Bruce Clarke, and more! The show starts at 8PM at the Al Whittle Theatre in Wolfville, NS.
